The Town of Wiscasset seeks an immediate part-time seasonal laborer to work 30 hours per week within the Public Works, and Parks and Recreation Departments. This laborer will be working with the grounds/cemetery maintenance crew and perform duties assigned by the Parks and Recreation Department. Duties will include the operation of grass trimmers, lawn mowers and other light equipment and maintenance of the waterfront restrooms. Candidates must have the ability to work successfully with a team and must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license. TOWN OF WISCASSET
The Town of Wiscasset is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the full time position of Town Mechanic reporting to the Road Commissioner/Public Works Director. The Town Mechanic performs the maintenance and repair of all Town owned vehicles and equipment. This is a union position, includes driving trucks and equipment, and is subject to mandatory call-out for snow plowing and emergencies. A clean driving record, a valid Class B license with air brake endorsement, and valid state inspection license are required.
The current work hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 PM, Fridays 6:00 am to 12:00 noon. Beginning wage is $ 19.32 per hour with a comprehensive employee benefit package.

Applicants must have successfully completed Phase I and Phase II of The Law Enforcement Pre-Service Training Program or already be certified by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Applicants must be able to successfully complete medical, psychological and polygraph examinations, pass an extensive background investigation.
The Wiscasset Police Department relies heavily on its reserve staff to provide continuous police services to the community.

The Town of Wiscasset is accepting applications for Per-Diem EMTS, AEMTS, and Paramedic. Applicants must be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment.
Pay averages are; EMT - $13-$15; AEMT - $15-AEMTS, and Paramedic - $17-$20.
