Town of Wiscasset - Committee Vacancies 

Please contact the town clerk for information on town committee vacancies.      

The planning board, waterfront, airport, and ordinance review have openings. Most of these are all three year appointments. The budget committee also has openings for one, two and three year terms. If you wish to serve one of these, please submit an application either online or at the town office. Online applications can be found under the committee page of the website. Applications must be received by Nov 21st, 2024

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.  Wiscasset’s government couldn’t function without volunteers.   They help develop our local laws, plan our community, and develop our budget.  Volunteers can assist every week or just a few times a year, there is a schedule to meet everyone’s needs.   Wiscasset is always looking for citizen volunteers to help shape the future of our community – please consider giving a few hours of your time to make our Town the best in Maine!
